Top 3 Reasons to Buy an iPhone Course
This e-learning course was designed to help learners understand why the iPhone is a popular choice by focusing on its top three features: sleek design, seamless integration, and ease of use. The course includes a side-by-side comparison of the iPhone with other popular smartphones and a personalized quiz to help learners identify their preferred phone features. This experience aims to demystify the crowded smartphone market and guide learners in making informed decisions.
Problem
With an overwhelming array of smartphone brands and features, consumers often face confusion about which phone best meets their needs. Without a structured way to explore and compare smartphone features, learners struggle to make informed purchasing decisions.
Solution
To address this, the course was developed with four modalities: an interactive Articulate Rise course, a dynamic quiz, short engaging videos, and a job aid. These elements worked together to provide a comprehensive learning experience that educated users on iPhone features and helped them compare it to other smartphones. The quiz personalized the experience, guiding learners to identify their preferred phone features.
Design Thinking
Process:
To ensure the course was engaging and met user needs, I conducted a learner analysis, created personas, and developed visual mock-ups in Articulate Rise. I used tools like Vyond for feature videos, Canva for graphics, and Storyline for the interactive quiz. Accessibility and usability testing ensured easy navigation, responsive design, alt text for images, video captions, color contrast adjustments, and accessible language.
Key Features:
Dynamic Quiz with Branching Logic: An 8-question quiz calculated individual preferences, directing learners to customized results pages.
Personalized Job Aid: Available in two versions, providing learners with a summary of their quiz results to aid in their phone selection process.
Accessibility Enhancements: Alt text, captions, contrast adjustments, and inclusive language were implemented to meet diverse learner needs.

Evaluation and Feedback:
Learners responded positively to the course’s engagement, ease of navigation, and user-friendly design. Feedback activities like a sorting exercise and course evaluation gathered insights, revealing high engagement and a clear understanding of the iPhone’s unique features.
Outcome
This project underscored the value of learner analysis for creating effective, tailored content. It also highlighted how technology and interactivity enhance learning experiences, making them accessible and enjoyable.
Future improvements could include ongoing course updates based on feedback, expanded promotion to reach a larger audience, integration into a broader smartphone training platform, and a virtual “store” where learners could redeem points earned through the course.
